In recent years, journalism in Greece is going through a crisis similar to the crisis which the entire social fabric is experiencing. It’s a reflection of what’s really happening beyond the cracked facade. It’s one of the most difficult professions for a young person. There’s a system, a sort of patriarchy and a dozen grey-haired men who occupy the panels of the TV channels. But what’s happening on the inside of the peaceful journalism industry?
Athens Voice received more money than LIFO. The Athenian newspaper Efimerida ton Syntakton only got as much as a local paper. There were 239 websites that received money although they were unregistered news outlets.
